When Bop & Tiger Beat Magazine got the chance to hang out with Meaghan Martin, they asked what her favorite scene to shoot from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam was! She revealed, “My favorite scene in the movie was This is Our Song because I love the song and it’s all of us together in front of this huge campfire like holding hands and singing and swaying back and forth to the music. It snowed that night and it was beautiful I guess because there was a little light of snow.” How amazing does that sound? I wish I could have been there!

The Jonas Brothers deserve to be treated with a bit more compassion by the paparazzi, their Camp Rock 2 co-star Meaghan Martin has said.

“People forget that they’re human and I feel bad about that because they are not zoo animals,” the actress said whilst promoting the Disney sequel in New York.

“It’s funny because people get mean,” she revealed, speaking about hanging out with teen sensations Kevin, Joe and Nick.

“I went to the Kids Choice Awards with them and the photographers were really yelling at them and I was like, ‘That makes me really not want to look over there’ – it’s so disrespectful.”

Meaghan joked that she does her best to make sure the attention doesn’t go to their heads.

“I forget that they are famous, I’m like, ‘You’re not that cool, I’m here to keep you humble!’” she laughed.

The actress, who returns as mean girl Tess Tyler in the TV movie, revealed she’s received some jealous letters from the boys’ fans since working with them.

“You do get hate mail sent to you like, ‘You touched a Jonas Brother – I hate you’ or ‘You hugged one’,” she said. “I mean, they’re great and all but I wouldn’t kill myself for them!” she laughed.

Camp Rock 2 is a ratings hit and it’s time to give a little credit to Demi Lovato’s sassy on-screen rival Meaghan Martin. Eighteen-year-old Martin, better known to Jonas groupies as the cutthroat Camp Star diva Tess Tyler, says her character was inspired by Meryl Streep’s icy turn in The Devil Wears Prada and Rachel McAdams’ ruthless queen bee in Mean Girls.

“I wanted to play her as a smart mean girl, not a ditzy annoying mean girl,” Martin said of Tess in an exclusive interview with Celebuzz. “I wanted her to be smart and manipulative because that’s far more scary.”

With that kind of grasp on the mentality of the high school princess, it’s no wonder Martin landed the starring role in Mean Girls 2, the TV sequel slated to premiere next year on ABC Family. Though Martin isn’t embarrassed to admit she can quote the original Mean Girls “pretty much beginning to end,” she tells Celebuzz she didn’t look to Lindsay Lohan’s character, Cady Heron, for inspiration.

“She kind of fell off the edge, which is sad,” Martin added of Lohan. “I feel bad for her.”

Though she’s often playing mean girls, Martin couldn’t be sweeter or more bubbly in our chat, calling Demi her “very close” friend and describing her Jonas co-stars as “down-to-earth,” “very real” gentlemen who battled her in ping pong and kickball on the Camp Rock set. (“Nick Jonas is definitely the most competitive,” she said with a laugh.)

As for Jonas Brother crushes, however, Martin seems wise beyond her years.

“When you spend as much time around them as I have, I think that a crush would not be the wisest,” she said.

Will you tune in to see Meaghan Martin in Mean Girls 2?

“I didn’t really study the first movie for this role just because my character is very different from Lindsay’s,” Martin said. “Jo is like a tough tomboy kind of badass girl and that’s not really Lindsay’s character… it’s ironic that I was probably using more of Mean Girls for Camp Rock than Mean Girls 2!”

But being a young Disney darling just like Lohan once was has inspired inevitable comparisons. How does Martin take to being called ‘the next Lindsay Lohan?’

“In some ways it’s like, ‘well thank you,’ because before she did lose her footing she had an incredible career,” Martin told Celebuzz. “If I could have that career and just not have the end results of it, then I will be very happy.

Meaghan Martin has said she is relieved to not be playing a nasty piece of work in Mean Girls 2.

The actress – who is best known for playing b****y Tess Tyler in Disney’s Camp Rock TV movies – has revealed she’ll finally be playing a nice girl in the sequel to Lindsay Lohan’s 2004 hit.

“I just finished [Mean Girls 2] and that was a great experience – I’m excited for it to be released,” she explained whilst promoting Camp Rock 2 in New York.

“I don’t play the mean girl in it and that’s the good news – I’m the nice one. It was great, I’m so happy to be the nice one for a change, especially as not only is she nice but she’s a tough tomboy and that’s not like anything I’ve ever played.”

She added: “I hope that the people who tune in will be happy to see me in a new role.”

The 18-year-old also said she believes the b****y schoolgirl characters Hollywood depicts are realistic.

“Movies always escalate everything for the comedy or drama but there are definitely mean girls in real life. It’s scary when you hear about it on the news,” she said.

Remember Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam airs TONIGHT at 8/7c on Disney Channel!

We all have our own fashion obsessions, whether it be that bracelet you have to wear everyday or your favorite pair of socks! Camp Rock 2‘s Meaghan Martin spilled to Bop & Tiger Beat Magazine what she absolutely loves to wear. She revealed, “I love dresses. I’m a dress-a-holic. I would wear one everyday if I could.” We think that’s a great idea, but to be honest, Meaghan looks pretty in anything she wears! We also laughed when told us that “When I was little, I used to tell my mom if it doesn’t “twirl” I wont wear it.” How adorable is that?! We love it!

Meaghan Martin is surely one of the busiest young actresses in Hollywood these days. Meaghan may become the queen of sequels after starting what seems to be a trend with the short lived ABC Family series 10 Things I Hate About You based on the movie starring Julia Stiles and the late Heath Ledger. Last summer she spent some time up on Vancouver filming the sequel to the internationally successful DCOM Camp Rock, which will make its debut on the Disney Channel in September. Now she just wrapped production on a new film that will be released in Spring 2011 called Mean Girls 2, co-starring Jennifer Stone, Nicole Anderson, Maiara Walsh and Claire R. Holt! Even with her extremely hectic filming schedule, Meaghan still takes her education seriously and plans to return to college later this fall. Meaghan hand wrote her answers for Hollywood Teen’Zine’s Flashback (to School) interview. Check it out inside along with a special video from the set of Mean Girls 2.

It was only a matter of time before “Eclipse” got, well, eclipsed, at the box office, and the animated flick “Despicable Me” snagged bragging rights this weekend. Even on a Monday fans were flocking to see the Steve Carrell-voiced movie, including Meaghan Martin, who posted, “Despicable Me with the cast of Mean Girls 2? Let’s hope. :-) ” Joe Jonas has the ‘toon on his must-see list too, asking Meaghan, “I wanna see that!!! Can you film it in the theater for me?” Now, now, Joe, there will be none of that!

But, don’t cry for the cast of “Eclipse,” they’ve got plenty to be psyched about. Star Peter Facinelli is gearing up for a new movie, informing followers, “Excited to start shooting LOOSIES in a few days. Welcome aboard @JaimieGirlXO (Jaimie Alexander).” Jaimie, pictured with her co-star, sounded equally anxious about the project, tweeting back to Peter, “I’m currently up in the air and on my way!!! :)

Meaghan Martin, the star of ABC Family’s new hit show 10 Things I Hate About You, might play a character who is trying to fit in with the cool kids and avoid her embarrassing family, but in real life, she’s all about embracing their quirkiness. Seventeencaught up with the “camp diva” as she prepares to reprise her role in Camp Rock 2.

17: So, how’s Tess going to be involved in Camp Rock 2?

Meaghan Martin: Tess is totally taking a different route this time. She’s kind of breaking away from everybody else, and will be on her own for a little bit, making new friends and bringing new characters into the plot.

17: Your Camp Rock costar Alyson Stoner visited Seventeen last week, and she was telling us about the crazy duets between people you wouldn’t expect. Who are some of them?

MM: I know that I will be singing with a new kid, which will be exciting. He’s more of a hip-hop artist, which will be different for me — I have a musical theatre background. It will be like [Broadway's] In the Heights!

17: What about going back to set are you most excited for?

MM: It will be awesome to have a reunion. It’s been about two years since we finished the first one, so it will be great to have everybody back. All of our lives are very different from how they were back then, especially the Jonases and Demi. Demi’s life has completely changed in the past two years.

17: When you go back to set, you’re basically in the middle of nowhere. There’s no cell phones, no Internet. What do you guys do for fun?

MM: We play Monopoly, lots and lots of Monopoly. We have dance parties, that’s when we break out the Prince and Michael Jackson and totally break it down.

17: Can you give us a sneak peek of what’s to come on 10 Things I Hate About You?

MM: So much! There’s going to be a steamy romance between Kat and Patrick, which I’m excited for, because I wasn’t there when they filmed it! There’s also going to be a lot of drama with Cameron and Bianca, unfortunately. It’s quite sad. And Bianca and Joey get a little steamy too!

17: How are you similar to your character, Bianca?

MM: I’m actually ridiculously similar to Bianca. My father in real life is a gynecologist, so that’s always a weird coincidence. My older sister is so much like Kat, so we definitely have the Kat-Bianca dynamic. I definitely have that want to be accepted, not quite as extreme as Bianca, because she will do literally anything to become popular!

17: Would you dress up as a mascot, like Bianca does in the show?

MM: Probably not, but I don’t think I’d get past the audition for a mascot! I love how they don’t show me actually cheerleading on the show, because they know I couldn’t do it.

17: Your character is often embarrassed by her family members. What would you tell our readers who feel the same way?

MM: If you were there behind every family’s closed doors, everyone’s a little wacko. Chances are that your family is no weirder than the next family, or than the other girl at school’s family. Everyone can be quirky at times, and I embrace that, personally.

What do you think of Meaghan Martin and her character, Bianca, on 10 Things I Hate About You? Are you excited to see her in Camp Rock 2? Let us know by commenting below!
