Meaghan Martin‘s officially hanging up her Camp Rock Tess Tyler digs for a dainty white dress and pixie dust. Okay, maybe not actual pixie dust, but you know what we mean. We bumped into Meaghan at Robert Verdi’s Fashion Week retreat where she was ACUVUE 1-Day’s Fashion Week consultant, picking up bottles of Muscle Milk Light Café Latte (Who knew?!), and most importantly, giving us juicy deets about her Wendy co-star, Tyler Blackburn.

Teen.com: Are you anything like your character, Wendy?
Meaghan: Yeah! I’m a people pleaser for sure, but I’m not quite as bad as she is. I’m like her in the sense that I do always want to make everyone around me happy. She’s a rule follower, and that’s kind of how I am. She doesn’t really stray from things, but she has dreams and wants to go after them.

Teen.com: Instead of flying, what would you make your pixie dust do?
Meaghan: Invisibility would be really cool! I think that making Harry Potter come to life would be really awesome. That’s what my pixie dust would do. It would make Harry Potter real.

Teen.com: Can you tell us something about Tyler that his fans may not know?
Meaghan: He’s a really good listener. One day we got stuck in traffic, and I ended up telling him my life story from beginning to end – and that was before we started filming Wendy! And then he did the same to me, so we got to know each other really fast.

Who said contact lenses were not fashionable and glamorous?

Contact lenses are worn by every person in all walks of life. Indeed, many celebrities are also big fans of contact lenses. Everyone from the sports fielld to the golden screen and beyond.

Glasses have tried over the years to be seen as a glamorous accessory with awards such as spectacle wearer of the year, but contact lenses remain the product of choice for
many with eyesight problems.

This week, the worlds of fashion and contact lenses collided after an actress decided to use the industry event of the year to showcase a new brand of contact lenses.

Actress Meaghan Martin displayed the new 1-Day Acuvue Moist Brand Contact Lenses at New York Fashion Week.

She took the opportunity given to her by style guru Robert Verdi who out on the annual Luxe Lab Twitter Party to promote the benefits and the comfort of the new contact lens.

The singer/actress is well know for her appearances in a few movies and will rock the contact lenses at a number of glittering fashion shows and events.

She said:

“I am so thrilled to be in New York City alongside Acuvue Brand Contact Lenses to be a part of the excitement of Fashion Week. It is exciting to be on the front lines of the latest trends and share my experiences with everyone.”

No doubt, she will be wearing them at all the after parties as well. For those who want to know about the lenses, she has promised to update twitter account with all the information.

In the next few weeks, Acuvue will be hosting live chats with Joe Jonas and Glee’s Charice, hosted by Mean Girls 2 star Meaghan Martin. Joe and Charice will be answering all your questions and chatting about what it was like to be celebrity mentors for the Acuvue 1-DAY contest, where they worked with teens to help them achieve their dreams.

Wendy and Peter Pan are making a come back in the modern version of the classic story, “Wendy!”

The infamous character, Wendy (Meaghan Martin), retells the story of the boy (Tyler Blackburn) who never grew up and how she fell in love with him.

This super cool show is inviting fans to enter “Like The Look Win The Wardrobe” Sweepstakes, where one winner will get a trip to NYC and a $1,000 shopping spree with a Macy’s stylist. The entry form and more details can be found here.

New episodes of “Wendy” will air every Tuesday and Thursday starting September 15. Also make sure to be on the lookout for the cast interview on August 30.

Meaghan Martin is one lucky girl! Not only does she star with Tyler Blackburn in the new webseries “Wendy,” but it sounds like she gets to lock lips with him a lot too!

We caught up with the duo at the Teen Choice Awards where they told us you can expect a lot of “interesting forms of kissing.” It looks like the two have great chemistry and had a great time filming the series.

Tyler gushed, “[Meaghan’s] one of the sweetest people I’ve ever worked with or met in general.”

Studios aren’t the only ones cashing in on reinventing the classics: Alloy Entertainment and Macy’s have paired up to produce “Wendy” as a Web series that puts a modern spin on “Peter Pan.”

Series, which stars Meaghan Martin and “Pretty Little Liars” thesp Tyler Blackburn, is Macy’s first major foray into backing an original entertainment property after co-producing the animated special, “Yes, Virginia,” on CBS in 2009. Macy’s is the sole sponsor of “Wendy,” as part of its involvement with the project.

The retail giant’s previous entertainment efforts have focused on big-tent specials for NBC: the 85-year-old Thanksgiving Day parade and July Fourth Fireworks. It has also done branded tie-ins with “Project Runway” and fashion shows that target women.

But Macy’s wanted to launch “Wendy” to speak more directly to teens and tweens, especially during the back-to-school shopping season.

The “ACUVUE® 1•DAY Contest” paired five teens with celebrity mentors for one-on-one sessions focused on helping them achieve their dreams. Each teen lived a day with their mentor that they will never forget:

  • Amen spent the day in the studio with Charice, where she recorded her own song with a team of professional producers
  • Gerald trained with Allyson Felix and she gave him a copy of her training schedule so he could run at an elite level
  • Shawn went to the Fashion Institute of Design, where he designed an outfit for Meaghan Martin, which she wore at a red carpet event
  • Morgan rehearsed with Sterling Knight and the LA cast of Les Miserables, where she had the opportunity to perform with the cast
  • Brittany directed a PSA for the Special Olympics, starring Joe Jonas

This back-to-school season, Macy’s has partnered with Alloy Entertainment (the executive producers of Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries) to showcase the retailer’s fashion offerings in the original web series, Wendy. A modern reimagining of a timeless story, Wendy is a romance about a girl who must choose between the boy she loves and the boy of her dreams. The series stars Meaghan Martin (Camp Rock, Mean Girls 2, 10 Things I Hate About You) as Wendy and Tyler Blackburn (Pretty Little Liars) as Pete. Premiering Sept. 15 on Macy’s youth-centric website www.macys.com/mstylelab, viewers will be able to watch a new webisode every Tuesday and Thursday until the season finale, which will premiere on Oct. 4.

Throughout August, fans can preview the series via special content, including a music video starring lead character Pete (with an accompanying free MP3 music download), and a “Behind the Scenes Style” video providing a first-hand look at how the wardrobes are created for each of the lead characters, giving viewers an exclusive peek at the hottest back-to-school fashion. Viewers will also get to know the actors and their overall experience shooting this innovative series via cast interviews posted in late August. Beginning July 28, fans that “Like the Look” can win the wardrobe of Wendy’s stars: viewers that “like” www.facebook.com/mstylelab through Oct. 31 will be entered to win a $1,000 shopping spree in New York.
